  2.                          INSTALLING FAMILY TREE JOURNAL

  4.         The INSTALL program will install Family  Tree  Journal  on  your
  5.         system.
  6.  
  7.         If  you will be installing the program on floppy disks, you will
  8.         need to format four diskettes before starting  the  installation
  9.         process.
  10.  
  11.         Use  the  normal  procedure  to  bring  your  computer up to the
  12.         prompt. Insert disk #1 disk into drive A and type A:<ENTER>.

  14.                 Type:

  16.                       INSTALL<ENTER>

  18.         to install Family Tree Journal onto your system.
  19.  
  20.         As new features are added, the size  of  programs  grow  larger.
  21.         Because  of  the  many  enhancements  to  the current version of
  22.         Family Tree Journal, a hard disk is highly recommended.

  25.                           STARTING FAMILY TREE JOURNAL

  27.         If you are using a floppy disk system, insert the  Main  Program
  28.         disk into drive A.

  30.         If  you are using a hard disk system, change your working direc-
  31.         tory to the one containing the program.

  35.                 FTREE<ENTER>

  37.         to start Family Tree Journal.

  39.         You should print a copy of the instructions (INSTRUCT.DOC). This
  40.         document  will  provide  the latest information on using the new
  41.         features of the program.

  44.         genealogy  program  available  on  the  market.  If you have any
